In 2010, The City Market Bakehouse & Café began work on a location in the heart of downtown Whitefish Bay in a building transformed from a camera store into a modern casual dining experience. Over the past twelve years we’ve made countless friends, and have been gratified and grateful for the loyal customer base that has exceeded our expectations.

With 2023, The City Market will embark on another chapter. We will be consolidating our operation into our Shorewood and Wauwatosa locations, transitioning out of the Silver Spring Drive store. As the property owners, we are excited to announce that Stone Creek Coffee will be opening in that location mid-2023. Stone Creek will begin their journey in a setting that has a legacy of creative dishes and bakery, relaxed dining, and community focus. They will continue and enhance that legacy for many years to come.

This change will not impact The City Market’s philosophy of the past 26 years, that our guests deserve baked goods and dishes handmade from scratch, with premium ingredients. In 2023 and beyond, we remain committed to our philosophy as we explore new lifestyle offerings for our menu and bakery.

To Whitefish Bay, a heartfelt thank you for your support and friendship. Our final store hours on Silver Spring Drive will be Friday, January 6 from 6:30 – 1:30.
